Benefits

Ketamine-State Yoga helps bring body, breath, and mind into balance.

Greater energetic balance reduces suffering and improves motivation and creativity.

KSY cultivates mystical experience which is associated with greater meaning in life and reduction of existential fears.

KSY relies on practices that can be extended into all aspects of life.

KSY builds awareness of thoughts and feelings in the body.  This awareness allows energetic transformation from suffering to joy.

KSY supports many spiritual paths.  Its revelations can be translated into the language of most religious/mystical traditions.

KSY empowers by encouraging personal engagement with the practice.

A Unique Approach

Ketamine-State Yoga uses a special breath practice (pranayama) to invite mystical experience within the ketamine journey.

This breath practice involves deep, diaphragmatic breathing and total surrender at the bottom of the exhalation.

KSY emphasizes universal intention setting.  The practitioner works to harmonize this universal intention (letting go) with their personal healing, spiritual or creative goals.

KSY incorporates hand mudras, improvisational movement, self-massage, visualizations, various forms of meditation, and more.  But the central practice is the pranayama that calls for complete letting-go at the bottom of the exhalation.

KSY does not include esoteric or religious claims.  It is best understood as a body-mind technology designed for the ketamine state, with the overarching goal of reducing the suffering of the practitioner and others.

Mystical experience has been found to correlate with healing outcomes in many cases.  In its focus on enabling mystical experience and its emphasis on less frequent ketamine use, KSY is a powerful support for many therapeutic modalities.

Based on Time-Honored Methods
and Modern Science

KSY draws on many forms of yoga.  Most of the practices originated centuries ago and have been tested and refined by countless yogis over the generations.

These pieces of ancient wisdom have been curated and adapted for the ketamine state.  Applying these practices to the ketamine state is more commonsensical than you may suspect!  After all, a primary inspiration for KSY is Tibetan Dream Yoga.

Science has revealed ketamine to be a simulator of near-death experience.   This type of experience often leads to dramatic and positive transformations in people's lives.

The Tibetan yogis knew how to harness the vast potential of the dream state, and they were focused on the experience of dying (the "bardo" state).  Ketamine provides a simulation of this experience, so the wisdom of the dream yogis applies!

Like any yoga, KSY strives to bring body, breath and mind into balance -- and to reveal to the practitioner their "true nature," united with all beings.

Who is Ketamine-State Yoga for?

Anyone will receive benefits from the practices of KSY (or any form of yoga).  In fact the benefits are not contingent on the use of ketamine!  But some folks will find the unique path of KSY particularly fruitful.  KSY may be a game-changer if:

--- You have a yoga practice that is meaningful to you.
--- You have a yoga-adjacent practice (like dance, or running, or journaling, or knitting; anything that brings balance and joy to your life).
--- You are intrigued by or participate in mysticism, spirituality, and/or religion.
--- You are philosophical by nature.

Live KSY talk hosted by the Psychedelic Society of Palm Springs "Mystical Experience and the Breath"

Ketamine-State Yoga encourages a sacred, ceremonial relationship with the medicine.

KSY cultivates mystical experience.  This precious type of experience is easier to access when ketamine is used infrequently.

KSY emphasizes integration practices, inspired by Dream Yoga, that ensure the benefits of big experiences extend to everyday life.

People often remark how KSY completely changes their perspective on ketamine.  If they have encountered ketamine in a recreational context, they now appreciate its spiritual power and healing potential.

When KSY is practiced properly, ketamine is used infrequently.  It is always used with intention and meaningful integration.  It is considered a sacred medicine and a tool that helps us deepen our awareness and appreciation of our body, breath, and mind.
